Think twice!
This is how the current owner described it's history to me:
"Not much history really. I am the second owner. It was out of the water on its cradle when Katrina came thru (Mobile,AL.) , and suffered some scratches and cosmetic damage to some of the stainless. It has had an epoxy bottom since new, and was in salt water for only about 2 years. It only has 157 hours on the engine. It was painted flag blue since new by the original owner and thus I kept in that colour when I had it professionally awlgripped last March. I have a Beneteau 50 in Toronto Harbour and thus I bought this boat to put up in Georgian Bay, instead of a cottage. Cottage traffic to and from Georgian Bay has caused me to rethink the process, so the boat is up for sale. I have not used it since being awlgripped."
"....scratches and cosmetic damage to some of the stainless." "This boat is valued at $195000 to $200,000" !!!!
What do you think?
Guess what? The above is from almost six years ago and now he's back...asking this time around about $133,000 USD and further the brokerage who informed me that if they knew this was a Katrina boat they would never had handled it are back as well and why not just read their disclaimer. There's a sucker born every minute. Don't be one of them.
